For years and years I had dreamed of making it over to Sydney for the biggest event in the Australian fashion calendar, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (MBFWA), and this year, I finally made that dream come true. It was a week in which I am sure that I single handedly paid one Uber employees wages for the month, challenged my belief that more women should wear heels ‘just because’, and found out that, I too, was a victim of believing things that I saw on social media. It was also a week in which I met so many new faces (or familiar ones that I have followed online for years), watched some of my favourite labels walk the runway, and had the opportunity to sit down to umpteen fruitful meetings.

Over the course of the next week (and then some) you will be seeing a lot more updates from my time in Sydney – and Bali, and Malaysia – but for now, I will leave it short and sweet, with a quick look at what I wore for my first official day at MBFWA.
